KFH NOVO POSITIONS
ADHESIVE ELECTRODE PLACEMENTS
Your normal wound care and dressings do not need to be replaced for M.E.T.
To ensure proper electrode function:
-
The skin should be clean and free of moisturizing creams.
-
Place on intact skin only, apply outside wound area.
- Care for good skin contact over the entire area of the electrode.
BONE WOUNDS
The electrode patches should be placed outside the dressing as shown in the diagram. Place the smaller electrode on the upper surface of the foot. Make sure the electrode is in close contact with the skin and that it is connected to the gray cable end. Place the larger electrode just above the knee on the front of the thigh, making sure it is flat and in good contact with the skin. Make sure it is connected to the white end of the cable.

WOUNDS IN OTHER PLACES
It is possible to treat a wound anywhere on the body’s surface, except on the head and neck. As a general rule, the electrodes should be placed on either side of the dressing, just outside the dressing, so that the electrical current is conducted through the wound. A straight line between the two electrodes should run directly through the wound.
