      WHAT ARE THE PRECAUTIONS?

      • Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
      • Never connect the appliance directly to the mains power supply.
      • Keep out of reach of children.
      If, for any reason, you feel uncomfortable during treatment, you can switch off the device by lightly pressing the on/off area with your finger. As an extra safety measure, the device automatically switches off at the end of the selected treatment time.

       

      IS IT REIMBURSED BY MY HEALTH INSURER?

      In certain cases, provided your doctor or therapist has referred you, you may qualify for reimbursement.

       

      IS A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED?

      FOR USA: 

      FDA Approval for this device limits sale of this device to individuals with a prescription from a licensed healthcare professional.  Please email your prescription to sales@kfhealth.eu, when received you will be notified of shipping.

       

      If you would like to avail yourself of our Professional Service you can do it online at www.kfhealth.eu.  You will be notified of the prescription approval and shipping date.  If our Health Professionals have additional questions they will email you.

       

      FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD:

      No prescription is required.

       

      WHERE SHOULD I NOT USE THE DEVICES?

      In the case of electrical implants (e.g. pacemaker), in the case of cancer or during pregnancy. Please read here more about our advice on cancer.

       

      WHAT ARE THE KNOW SIDE EFFECTS?

      There are no known side effects. There are no reports of side effects, and that is consistent with what we know about M.E.T.  Moreover, patients quickly learned how to apply the therapy daily, and there were no problems with the practical application of the device. It turns out to be a safe solution for so many people who are tormented by fatigue, pain and lack of stamina.

       

      WHAT WILL I FEEL WHEN THIS DEVICE IS IN OPERATION?

      Many individuals do not feel anything.  Some feel a slight tingle at the adhesive electrode.  An indicator light on the device signals if the device is functioning or not.

       

      WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE "EMPTY BATTERIES" LIGHT IS ON?

      Then replace the batteries. This is easy to do yourself. For more information, refer to the user manual.

      The KFHealth units works with standard AA batteries, preferably with alkaline or lithium batteries. You can find them everywhere in the market.

      When buying, look at the capacity of the battery. This is expressed in mAh (milliampere hours). Make sure that the capacity is at least 1700 mAh, ideally batteries with a capacity of 2400 or 2800 mAh. These batteries are also called “heavy duty” batteries.

      Of course you can also choose to buy rechargeable batteries. The same advice applies for the capacity (ideally 2400 or 2800 mAh). This is cheaper to use and saves our environment.

       

      WHAT SHOULD I DO IF, FOR EXAMPLE, YOU LOSE ADHESIVE ELECTRODES?

      You can at any moment order adhesives electro patches on our website.

       

      CAN I TREAT MYSELF WITH M.E.T. WHILE I TAKE MEDICINES?

      KFHealth devices can be used simultaneously with drug treatments. There is no known interaction with any existing medicine. M.E.T. does not need to replace ongoing treatments; you can use it as a complement.

       

      HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE THE BATTERIES?

      If the light is on, you should replace the batteries. Out of our lab testing we may conclude that new batteries will give you on average 30 hours of treatment time. 

       

      HOW CAN YOU KNOW WHEN TO REPLACE THE ADHESIVE ELECTRODES?

      It is best to do this when:

        • The adhesive electrodes no longer stick to the skin;
          • The gloss of the adhesive gel of the electrodes is completely gone.

          Do not treat yourself with electrodes that actually need to be replaced, the therapy looses its efficacy, which can negatively affect the results.

           

          WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE THE ADHESIVE ELECTRODES?

          When the electrodes no longer stick well to the skin. The transfer of current to the skin is then no longer optimal.

           

          DO I FIRST NEED A REFERRAL LETTER FROM THE DOCTOR TO USE KFH ENERGY?

          No, this is not necessary. You can decide this independently. Of course, it is always good to seek advice from your doctor.

          EXCEPT: In the US you need a prescription.

           

          HOW COMPLICATED IS IT TO OPERATE A DEVICE?

          Simply by pressing the on/off button and applying the electrodes to your skin.

           

          CAN I TRY IT BEFORE I BUY SUCH A DEVICE?

          You can make an appointment with a therapist/advisor to discuss the possibilities. Send us an email and we will refer you to an advisor in your area.

           

          CAN I JUST LEND SUCH A DEVICE TO SOMEONE ELSE OR IS IT DANGEROUS?

          For general use (fatigue, pain and endurance) there is no danger. For other applications it is wise to first seek advice from one of our advisors.

           

          WHAT KIND OF PAIN CAN/CAN'T I TREAT WITH KFH ENERGY?

          In principle, any form of pain is eligible for treatment with  KFH ENERGY if it is related to muscle and joint pain and chronic musculoskeletal and nerve disorders such as fibromyalgia and rheumatic disorders.

           

          CAN I ALSO USE THIS THERAPY FOR MY CHILDREN?

          You can treat your children from the age of 6 years.

           

          HOW LONG SHOULD I CONTINUE TO TREAT?

          In acute cases until the symptoms have disappeared. For chronic conditions it is still necessary to continue to treat regularly, depending on the condition.

           

          DO I HAVE TO KEEP DOING THIS THE REST OF MY LIFE

          Most patients do find that maintenance usage is required to maintain their improvement in stamina, fatigue, and pain.  This is very much an individual situation; many patients use the device one to three days per week for maintenance.  Some less and others more!.

           

          HOW DO I KNOW THAT THE TREATMENT WORKS?

          If your pain decreases, if you become more mobile, sleep better, get more energy, if you start to feel more positive and/or calmer. If you clearly notice one of these improvements or a combination of these, the therapy will strike.

           

          HOW QUICKLY CAN I EXPECT RESULTS?

          This is due to your condition (chronic or acute) and your physical condition. It is possible to notice changes within 1 or 2 treatments. However, this can only be the case after a few weeks.

           

          WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD I USE IT?

          Morning is the recommended therapy time; although, some individuals do their therapy sessions in the afternoon.  KFHealth does not recommend evening therapy sessions; renewed energy levels may disrupt sleep patterns.

           

          CAN I TRAVEL WITH THE DEVICE?

          Yes!  For air travel, the device can pass through inspection at airport security without any damage to the device and, if asked, a simple explanation of its use as a medical device will serve security requirements.  For travel by car, train, or bus there are no issues.

           

          WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?

          KFHealth warrants this product against defects in operation and material to the first purchaser for a period of 2 year from the date of purchase. Refurbished devices have only a warranty of 1 year.

          KFHealth can only warrant this product if it was used with the KFHealth adhesive electrode patches as they were specifically built to guarantee the correct operation.

          KFHealth’s liability for this limited product warranty is not valid in case of misuse or abuse, such as immersion of the device in water or any other liquid, tinkering with the device, or normal wear and tear. Any evidence that the device itself has been tampered with will void this warranty. The warranty does not apply to accessories. Under no circumstances will KFHealth’s liability for any treatment related to the product exceed the original purchase price.

           

          WHAT IS THE END OF LIFE OF THIS DEVICE?

          We performed long term testing in our lab where we tested several devices on reliability and its lifetime. A total of 7088 active hours have been recorded on several devices without any recorded failure. We have recorded less then 0,04 failures in 3 years of usage. We stopped testing our devices after they run for 1.000 hours.

           

          ISN'T IT DANGEROUS TO TREAT YOURSELF WITH ELECTRICITY?

          No, Microcurrent Electro Therapy (M.E.T.) is a very fine, barely perceptible electrical energy (millionth amperes), comparable to your body’s own nerve impulses.
